An associate position at a small animal practice followed, also spending time at the Toronto Emergency Clinic and doing large animal locum work. An associate position at an equine referral hospital in British Columbia took Mark to the west coast where he remained for 6 years before moving back to Ontario with his family and opening Rutherford Equine Services in 1999. He has always kept an interest in small animal medicine and surgery and when the opportunity to purchase Kingston Mills Veterinary Hospital in 2018 he knew it was the perfect fit. Millie, Clinic Cat

Millie became part of the KMVH family in Feb 2019 when a kind samaritan found her on the side of the road, and brought her to the clinic, as they thought she was hit by a car. After further examination, Millie was deemed Purrfectly healthy. She was a feisty one when she arrived, but with further loving and constant dedication she became the loving, adorable, sweet Millie you see today. She has dug her claws in at KMVH and she is fuurever grateful!
